Comet was bred by Charles Colling & became the first example of domestic livestock to realise 1,000gns at Auction in 1810 at Collings dispersal sale. He was bought by a syndicate of four & became the most famous bull of his time. His descendants were the foundations of the 'Improved Shorthorn'.
