Stephen Elmer of Farnham ARA (1717-1796.)
Painter of Game (usually alive) and sporting dogs.
Born, lived and died in Farnham, the son of a maltster whose trade he continued.
His son held an exhibition of 148 of his fathers works after his death as ‘Elmer’s Sporting Exhibition.’
