Edwin May Fox (1830 – 1870)

Edwin May Fox was listed in the Birmingham directory between 1845 and 1870 as an animal painter.

Edwin’s naïve art included the portraits of horses which were often accompanied by prize cattle and dogs.

Between 1830 and 1856, Edwin May Fox exhibited 27 19th Century animal paintings at various exhibitions.
