Wright Barker (1864 – 1941)

Wright Barker lived in Bradford until 1885, and moved in 1901 to Hampstead, and then moved to Harrogate in 1915 where he remained for the rest of his life. He termed himself an ‘animal painter’ but he was also known for his paintings of Roman maidens.
